In recognition of local food insecurity, and to kick off its annual Food for All Thanksgiving food drives and meal box events, DenUM (Denver Urban Ministries) sponsored its first World Food Day Hunger Banquet. The goals of the event were to convey local data about hunger in Denver; to train participants on how to sponsor similar events and to energize and support planned Food for All food drives.
